General Terms and Conditions

This English version is a courtesy translation. The contract language is German, and in case of doubt the German version applies.

§ 1 Scope and seller

These terms apply to all contracts concluded via the website vaneblitz.de, by email or by phone between

(hereinafter “I”) and you as a customer. A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business or profession (§ 13 German Civil Code, BGB).

§ 2 Conclusion of the contract

The presentation of the products on the website is not a binding offer but an invitation to place an order.

Using the order form or by email, you tell me which items you would like to buy. This request is not yet binding for you. I reply by email with a binding offer that contains the items, the total price including VAT and shipping costs, and my bank details. The purchase contract is concluded when you accept this offer by confirming it by email or by transferring the total amount.

The contract language is German; on request I also correspond in English. I store the contract text; you receive all contract details and these terms with my offer by email.

§ 3 Prices and shipping costs

All prices are final prices and include the statutory VAT of 19%. Shipping costs are added: €6.19 for a standard parcel within Germany and €14.49 to other countries of the European Union. For larger orders, shipping costs depend on the parcel size; I will tell you the amount in my offer before the contract is concluded.

§ 4 Delivery

I currently deliver only within the European Union. After receiving payment, I ship the goods on the next working day at the latest. Delivery usually takes 2–5 working days within Germany and 3–7 working days to other EU countries.

Every Vane Blitz is built individually by hand after the order has been received. I therefore only send you my offer with invoice once I can make sure that I can ship the goods on the next working day after payment at the latest. If an item is temporarily unavailable or a custom-made item takes longer, I will tell you the expected delivery time before the contract is concluded.

§ 5 Payment

Payment is made in advance by bank transfer. You will find the bank details in my offer.

§ 6 Retention of title

The goods remain my property until they have been paid for in full.

§ 7 Right of withdrawal

As a consumer, you have a statutory right of withdrawal. The details are set out in the withdrawal policy. The easiest way to withdraw is online using the “Withdraw from contract” button, which you will find at the bottom of every page.

§ 8 Warranty

The statutory rights for defects apply. If something does not work properly, it is best to contact me directly – in most cases it can be sorted out quickly, and I can make spare parts myself.

The inside of the vane holders has a rubber coating that wears with use. This is normal wear and tear and not a defect; the tips on the home page explain how to renew the coating.

§ 9 Liability

I am liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act and to the extent of any guarantee given. In the event of a slightly negligent breach of an essential contractual obligation – an obligation whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose fulfilment you may regularly rely – liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded.

§ 10 Dispute resolution

I am neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

§ 11 Final provisions

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice of law applies only insofar as it does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you have your habitual residence.
